JAKARTA – Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg suffered a ligament injury while training in mixed martial arts (MMA). He also had to be hospitalized to recover.
He shared this news via upload on his personal Instagram account. “I tore a ligament while training and just had surgery,” he wrote, quoted Monday (6/11/2023).
Zuckerberg admitted that he is actively training to take part in MMA competition fights next year. However, his hopes had to be postponed due to the injury he suffered. “I still hope to do it after recovering. “Thank you to everyone for the love and support,” he wrote.
It’s no secret that Zuckerberg is very passionate about training MMA. He even accepted Elon Musk’s challenge to a fight, although it kept getting delayed until Zuckerberg lost interest.
When appearing at The Joe Rogan Experience recently, Elon Musk stated that he was still willing to fight with Zuckerberg. “Anytime, anywhere, under any circumstances. I challenge him to a duel under any circumstances.”
Previously, Zuckerberg stated that he was still willing to fight with Musk. However, Musk continues to argue about avoiding the competition.
Although many people hope to see Zuckerberg and Musk duke it out in a charity match, it seems that such an event will most likely not happen.
“I think we all agree that Elon is not serious and it’s time to forget about this,” Zuckerberg said in mid-August via a Threads upload.
