Suara.com – Head of the DKI Newsdelivers.com Environmental Service, Asep Kuswanto, spoke about the Indonesian Solidarity Party’s (PSI) request that air pollution in Newsdelivers.com be declared a disaster status. According to him, PSI’s wishes could not possibly be fulfilled.
Because, said Asep, the impact of determining disaster status is very large. It is feared that it will disrupt economic and government activities in Newsdelivers.com.
“So there are many things to consider that Newsdelivers.com doesn’t necessarily mean it’s easy to issue an emergency status. Because here it involves many parties, there are embassies, there are offices, economic activities too,” said Asep in Bogor, West Java, Thursday (14/9/2023 ).
“So if the disaster emergency status disrupts activities, the economic impact will definitely be very high,” he added.

Not only that, Newsdelivers.com has also just finished holding the ASEAN High Level Conference or Summit. If disaster status is implemented, it will disrupt preparations and implementation of the international meeting.
“Well, it is impossible for Newsdelivers.com to declare an emergency status, especially since yesterday’s ASEAN Summit,” said Asep.
He gave an example, West Java had declared an emergency response status when the Sarimukti Final Disposal Site (TPA) caught fire. At that time, government activities and community activities were limited.
Therefore, it will be difficult to implement it in Newsdelivers.com, which has the status of a national government and business center. He also said that disaster status was no longer a consideration because air conditions had begun to improve.
“But thank God, the air quality is getting better now,” he said.
