GAZA – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are alleged to have informed Egypt of its intention to occupy the Rafah border area and asked the Egyptian army to evacuate the area.
The IDF informed Egypt of its intention to occupy the border area on the Rafa “Philadelphi” route and asked the Egyptian army to clear the border.
The report also stated that the IDF emphasized to Egypt that from now on, the IDF will not be responsible for the security of Egyptian forces in the region when the IDF attempts to occupy the border region and emphasized that military operations in the region will continue whether Egypt agrees or rejects it.
Arab media also reported that the IDF fired shells into an area in southern Rafah. There were also reports of tanks and armored vehicles operating west of the Kerem Shalom crossing.
Meanwhile, a British ship was attacked by a drone in western India, resulting in a collision and explosion that led to a fire.
The ship flies the Liberian national flag, and according to some reports has ties to Israel.
The incident ended without any casualties. Some time ago, the drone was reportedly launched from Iranian territory.
