Suara.com – PT PLN has provided 624 public electric vehicle charging stations or SPKLU at 411 strategic points during the Christmas 2023 and New Year 2024 periods.
PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo said PLN is committed to supporting the electric vehicle ecosystem by preparing SPKLU spread across various regions in Indonesia.
PLN is also ready to provide convenience and security to electric vehicle users who will spend the Christmas and New Year holidays.
“Travellers or people who want to go on holiday with electric vehicles now don’t need to worry about running out of batteries. There are hundreds of SPKLU and officers on standby who are ready to provide the best service,” said Darmawan in his statement in Newsdelivers.com, Tuesday (19/12/2023).
Darmawan, reported by Antara, said that PLN had prepared 64 energy charging stations for electric vehicle (EV) chargers at 38 SPKLU points along the Trans-Sumatra and Trans-Java toll roads.
In addition, 26 EV charger units at 21 SPKLU locations for Banten, 113 EV charger units at 43 SPKLU locations in the Newsdelivers.com area, 50 EV chargers at 34 SPKLU locations in Central Java and Yogyakarta, 62 EV charger units at 34 SPKLU locations in East Java and 63 EV charger at 29 SPKLU locations in Bali.
Next, strengthening supporting services is also being prepared in regions such as Sumatra with 62 EV charger units at 51 SPKLU locations, Kalimantan with 37 EV charger units at SPKLU locations and Sulawesi with 27 EV charger units at 18 SPKLU locations.
Meanwhile, for the Nusa Tenggara region, 25 EV chargers are provided spread across 16 SPKLU locations and 9 EV charger units at 8 SPKLU locations in the Maluku and Papua regions.
“PLN continues to carry out transformations to improve customer service, especially to support the acceleration of the EV ecosystem. Apart from supporting charging station infrastructure, various features in PLN Mobile also provide various services for the convenience of EV users,” concluded Darmawan.
