GAZA – More than 5,000 Israeli soldiers have been injured in Gaza since the conflict began on October 7, and more than 2,000 Israeli soldiers are officially recognized by the Ministry of Defense as disabled. It shows the defeat of the Israeli army in the war against Hamas.
What further shows the defeat of the Zionists is that more than 58% of them were seriously injured in their hands and feet, so much so that they needed amputation.
“More than 5,000 wounded soldiers arrived at hospitals in Israel,” reported the daily Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper.
“More than 2,000 people are officially recognized by the Defense Ministry as disabled,” the daily added.
“We have never experienced anything similar like this. “More than 58% of the injured we received had serious injuries to the hands and feet, including amputations,” Limor Luria, deputy director general and head of the Israeli Defense Ministry’s Rehabilitation Department, told the newspaper.
“About 12% of injuries are internal consisting of damage to the spleen, kidneys and rupture of internal organs,” said Luria.
“About 7% suffer from psychological distress, a number we know will rise sharply,” the official said.
The Israeli army says at least 420 soldiers have been killed since the Gaza conflict broke out on October 7.
Israel resumed its military offensive against the Gaza Strip on December 1 after the end of a week-long humanitarian pause with the Palestinian group Hamas.
At least 17,487 Palestinians have been killed and more than 46,480 injured in relentless air and ground attacks on the enclave since October 7 following cross-border attacks by Hamas.
Israel’s death toll in Hamas attacks reached 1,200 people.
