BANDUNG – Argentina U-17 National Team striker, Agustin Ruberto, was one of the players who performed brilliantly in the match against Japan U-17. He successfully scored one goal which was created in the 90+9 minute.
In the match which took place at the Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Bandung Regency, Tuesday 14 November 2023 evening WIB, Argentina successfully won three points in the second match of Group D of the 2023 U-17 World Cup. They beat Japan with a score of 3-1.
Apart from Ruberto, Argentina’s two goals were scored by stars Claudio Echeverri (5′) and Valentino Acuna (8′). Meanwhile, one goal from Japan was scored by Rento Takoka (50′).
For Ruberto, this goal was certainly very special. Not only was it dedicated to his beloved country, but also his family who were present directly at the Si Jalak Harupat Stadium.
The River Plate player admitted that he was happy to be watched by his family during the 2023 U-17 World Cup match. Moreover, he also succeeded in scoring goals.
“Thank you very much (to my family) who always support me. I love you and thank you for being here,” said Ruberto to media crew, including MNC Portal Indonesia after the match against Japan.
Even though he only scored a goal at the end of the match, Ruberto couldn’t hide his happiness. Moreover, this was his second goal in the 2023 U-17 World Cup.
“His goal was the best. I mean, I live by that and scoring goals is a great joy,” added the 17-year-old.
With this result, Argentina’s opportunity to qualify for the round of 16 is still open after losing to Senegal in the first match. Next, in the deciding match Argentina will meet Poland at the Jakarta International Stadium, Friday 17 November 2023.
