GAZA – The Iron Dome missile has been reported to have several errors when bombarding Palestine, however the Zionist army still believes that this missile is capable of destroying Palestine.
According to a report on the European Defense Industries website on October 15, the Israeli military will accelerate the deployment of 100 kilowatt (kW) laser missiles developed by the country’s Rafael Advanced Defense Systems.
Iron Beam is designed to intercept a variety of air threats, such as rockets, mortars and drones, at distances ranging from hundreds of meters to several kilometers.
These high-energy laser weapons offer significant cost advantages, costing only a few dollars per shot.
In comparison, the Tamir missiles used by Iron Dome to intercept targets cost 40,000 to 50,000 US dollars each.
Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said on his social media platform: “It sounds like science fiction, but it’s real.”
In March 2022, the Israeli military conducted a series of successful tests with the “Iron Beam” prototype, destroying drones, mortars, rockets and anti-armor missiles.
When the Israel-Hamas conflict broke out, the Israeli military’s “Iron Dome” had no interceptor missiles, and the United States had transferred its stockpile of missiles to the Israeli military. “Iron Beam”, which was originally planned to enter service in 2025, was also accelerated due to the current situation.
Israel’s Rafael Advanced Defense Systems has been developing laser technology for 20 years, and has made major breakthroughs in the last two years, enabling laser beams to be focused long enough to eliminate long-range threats.
