JAKARTA – The commercial site, iFixit, has just disassembled the innards of the iPhone 15 to find out the ins and outs. From these efforts it is known that the iPhone 15 cannot be repaired carelessly other than by Apple itself.
This is different from previous claims as to why the iPhone 15 is designed to be more “fragile” because the aim is for users to be able to repair it themselves.
In fact, if a problem occurs, iPhone 15 owners inevitably have to get it repaired at the nearest official Apple store. This was discovered after the commercial site, iFixt, dismantled the innards of the iPhone 15 to find out the ins and outs.
iFixit is known to always carry out special research on all types of new cellphones, including Apple. They disassembled the new cellphones to find out whether repairs could be done independently or via a third party if damage occurred.
“For iPhone 15 repairs, the score is 4 out of 10. This happens because Apple pairs many spare parts with software components,” said iFixit.
According to Apple Insider. This condition makes independent repairs very difficult. Repairs carried out on several components need to be very careful because they are directly related to the software.
So, you need expert hands from Apple who can repair the cellphone if a problem occurs. Apple Insider even said that in the battery section there is a warning not to carelessly remove the iPhone 15 battery.
“Be careful, this can only be done by officially trained technicians,” wrote the warning issued by Apple. Furthermore, iFixit also discovered many new things after disassembling the iPhone 15. They looked at the composition, the innards of the iPhone 15 were not much different from the iPhone 14.
They also saw a very drastic difference between the cameras on the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Pro. Even though they both have 48 megapixel cameras, the number of quad-pixels on the iPhone 15 is 15 percent smaller than the quad-pixels on the iPhone 15 Pro.
“This results in worse performance in low light settings for the iPhone 15,” concluded Fixit.
